Centrally located in Milton, Ontario, we have been working with kids and adults in the surrounding areas (Acton, Georgetown, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, Waterdown, Rockwood and Campbellville) for over 10 years!!
At ‘Harmony is’ we offer private instruction in piano, guitar, drums, flute and voice. All of our teachers have graduated with University music/music therapy degrees, and offer a fun and encouraging learning environment. Lessons include a blend of theory, technique and practical (performance) elements. Students may choose to follow Royal Conservatory of Music exam preparation, play popular songs, or a combination of both. Read more »
At ‘Harmony is’ we provide individual and group music therapy programs, at our Milton studio and throughout the Halton and Peel regions. Our music therapists provide services to Long term Care Facilities, Adult Group Homes, Community Living Day Programs, Palliative/Respite Care Programs, and in School Classrooms. We also provide individual music therapy sessions focusing on promoting physical, social, emotional and cognitive areas of development. Early Childhood Music Classes:
‘Harmony is’ provides Early Childhood Music Groups for children 6 yrs and under. Our Kindermusik programs are designed for children newborn-6 years old, and we have been consistently ranked Top 5% of Kindermusik programs worldwide since 2008. At ‘Harmony is’ we offer adapted music lessons for those who would benefit from individual instruction, but may not meet the criteria for traditional lessons (click here to view the criteria for piano, flute, drum, guitar, voice lessons). Students may be too young for lessons, or may not yet possess the reading or physical skills necessary to commence. Adapted lessons are also an excellent option for individuals who present with special needs (including autism, down syndrome etc) and are looking for a music education program (instead of music therapy).
